ENGLISH ANGLER'S RETURN.
TROUT AND DEEP-SEA SPORT
" I had such a good time hero last season that I thought I could not do better than coiuo again," said Mr. W. Anderson, an English angler, wfyo arrived by tho Uiimaroa,yesterday. Mr. Anderson tried tho deep-sea gamo fishing nnd also angling for trout and salmon when ho was in New Zealand last summer, and he purposes on his present visit to spend sonic time on the salmon rivers in Southland, then with tho trout at Taupo, and, after trying tho game fish at Whangaroa, to finish with more at Taupo, Mr. Anderson said ho had found sports men in England very interested in New Zealand fishing. Interest was also beginning to develop in tho big-game fishing to be had off Durban, tho capture of a very largo mako from tho rocks having uruuscd curiosity as to tho possibilities of tho waters in that area.
