THE YIELDS IN OCTOBER. [BY TELEGRAI>II.— OWN COIUIESrONnEXT.] HAMILTON, Tuesday. Tho New Zealand Co-operative Herdtesting Association, Hamilton, tested 65,248 cows during October, tlic averago yield being 8631b. milk, 4.0 test, and 35.281b. butter-fat per cow. In October, 1927, tho association tested 61,568 cow?, the average yield being 91.11b- milk, 3,9 test, and 36.05 lb. butter-fat. The highe«t cow last month gave 1071b. fat, or 1871b. fat in 58 days. The next best cow gave 981b. butter-fat in October and 1011b. in September, or 2051b. in 6days. The best group for October was Hairini, 873 cows averaging 40.j51b. fat. No fewer than 63 herds averaged 401b fat. -
