THE ART IN AMERICA.
IDEAS FOR NEW ZEALAND.
"A trip around the world such as I had only intensified roy liking j'or New Zealand," said Mr. D. Robertson, assistant general manager of the tanners Trading Company, in the course of an address on a recent world-tour given at the fortnightly luncheon of the Auckland Advertising Club yesterday. Dealing with the United States, Mr. Robertson said that great nation was commercially engrossed. A great advertising and business scheme which might well bo adopted in New Zealand was "Mothers' Day." "Fathers* Day" and "Sweethearts' Day." For weeks before these days arrived there were great advertising booms and business increased everywhere. He considered, also, that the Dominion should go in more extensively for night electric signs.
