Baron, to-day swam tho 400 metres (breaststroke), in 6m 45 3-ssccs., a world's record. Tho time is one second faster than that of the previous holder, Fraulein Schrader (Germany). BOXING IN ENGLAND. In a boxing contest al tho National Sporting Club for the bantam-weight championship tho holder, Kid Pattendcn, knocked out young Johnny Brown in tho 12th round. BILLIARDS IN LONDON. Although Fred Lindrum is overtaking Ininan, the Australian billiards player is finding tho limitation of hazards disadvantageous. To-day ho wont to tho limit of 75 from red losers. When 1m had to chango his stylo of scoring ho only added 32. On another occasion ho had a run to safety when Hearing .tho red loser limit'. Nevertheless, good top-of-the-tublo play pavo him an advantage of 408 on the day's total. INMAN AHEAD ONCE MORE.
