INTOXICATED TAXI-DRIVER.
PENALTY OF £25 IMPOSED. ACCIDENT IN QUEEN STREET. Through causing his motor-car to bump into another car, Einar Johanness Johan■lessen, aged 55, taxi-driver, attracted the attention of :> traffic officer. When charged in the Police Court yesterday with being intoxicated while in control of a tnxicab Joltannessen pleaded guilty. It was stated by the police that the incident occurred in Queen Street last Saturday afternoon. ".Accused has suffered a severe punishment," said Mr. Sullivan. default being fixed at two months' imprisonment. His driving licence was cancelled for 12 months.
