At the London wool sales to-day 8722 bales were offered, of which 3793 were Australian, and 3506 New Zealand. There was an excellent selection of Merinos suitable to all sections of the trade, a good offering of slipes and scoured crossbreds and a few greasies. Animated competition ruled in all sections, and thero were practically no withdrawals. Prices were fully maintained.
