WAITEMATA POWER BOARD.
TOUR OF THE DISTRICT. A complete tour of tho Waitemata Electric-Power Board area is to be undertaken by members of the board within the next two days. The party, which will number 16, will be accompanied by tho engineer to tho board, Mr. F. J. H. Wilson, tho assistant engineer and the secretary-treasurer, Mr. A. Main. Leaving the city by car this morning members of the board will endeavour to acquaint themselves with every phase of tho board's activities throughout the area. Numerous deputations have been arranged and matters affecting consumers will be discussed with settlers and others in the farming and township districts. Tho first call this morning will be made at the City Council's waterworks at Titirangi, after which the party will proceed to the Hobsonville nir base, where it is anticipated a largo supply of electricity will bo required in tho near future. The base will be inspected and members will be entertained at luncheon.
This afternoon visits will bo paid to Huapai, Kumeu, Waimanku and Helensville, where the night will bo spent. Tomorrow will be devoted to a tour of Kaukapakapa, Waiwera and other parts of the northern section of the area, tho return to Auckland being made in tho evening, via Takapuna.
