It had been hoped that Jack Hood, tho British welter-weight title holder, and Teddy Baldock, tho bantam-weight champion, would bo asked to tako a trip across tho Atlantic lo participate in bouts for tho world's crown, but the plans have fallen through. Hood was half promised a match with Joe Dundee for the welterweight crown, and Baldock had been given reason lo believe he would be matched with Bushey Graham for tho bantam-weight title.
However, tho arrangements have fallen through, and so it is stated the two English champions will tako a trip to New Zealand. Another Britisher who is thinking of visiting the Commonwealth is Corbelt, the feather-weight, who is also angling for a world's titlo contest with Iloutis, the Frenchman.
