FRACAS ON RIVER WHARF.
VOLUNTEER WORKER'S ACT.
WOUNDS MAN WITH REVOLVER PERMIT TO CARRY WEAPON. FURTHER SHOTS EXCHANGED. (Received November 15. 10.5 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Nov. 15. Tlmro was a disturbance this afternoon among sonic waterside workers who were unloading sugar from a vessel at Yarravillc, a riverside suburb of Melbourne.
A volunteer worker, who had a permit to carry a revolver, shot a man named Conron in the groin.
Further shots were subsequently fired. Conron is now in hospital. He refuses to say anything about tho affair.
