DETECTIVES IN LANCASHIRE. l'welve protty and fashionably-dressed gnls, who have been specially trained in police work, are being employed as detectives in Lancashire;
When they are not engaged in making inquiries among race gangs, shop-lifters, jewel thieves and other crooks they act. as superintending typists at police head quarters. They perform gymnastics in order to keep fit, but. do not. make arrests personally, securing the assistance of uniformed police.
