DIXIELAND.
BOATING CLUB DANCE. The Waitemata Boating Club's annual dance was held last evening at Dixieland and a large number of club members and visitors were present. The excellent danco music played by the Dixieland orchestra was much appreciated, and the softly-shaded lights made an attractive background for the many pretty frocks that were worn. Among those present were:—Mrs. N. Haines, who wore a frock of black beaded georgetto with ivory relief; Mrs. Mobberly, green crepe do chine; Miss McGinncss, silver-beaded georgette; Miss Spear, ivory georgetto and tangarine shawl; Miss 11. Moon, lapis blue brocaded satin and tulle; Mii>3 J. Alley, saxe blue frilled crepe do chine, and pink embroidered shawl; Miss D. Murray, vieux rose chiffon velvet and diamante trimming; Miss Helen / Purdon, pink georgette and lace; Miss McDonald, green and pink shot taffeta; Miss Firth, peacock satin; Miss Franklin, ivory satin and silver trimmings; Miss Hanfling, ivory, georgette; Miss Copsy, eau-dc-nil georgette; Miss Masefield, black ring velvet; Miss T. Benton, lavender crepct de chine and silver lace; Miss Read, scarlet crepo de chine and gold laco; Miss G. Briscoe, silver lame and pink georgette; Miss K. Latimer, black georgette, embossed in Chinese red; Miss D. Hull, blue and pink taffeta and lace period frock; Miss Eileen Jones, rose pink taffeta; Miss Alice Scott, bois-de-rose crepo de chine and gold lace; Misp V. Cullen, Arcadian blue georgetto ring velvet and rdse pOsy ; Miss P. Robinson, almond green and black taffeta with uneven hemline. „
Miss E. Parsons wore pale pink frilled georgette, and cream shawl; Miss Hayward, silver and lilac lame with georgette; Miss Una Callaghan, sea green taffeta and tulle with shoulder .spray; Miss L. Smith, pale pink georgette • and tissue; Miss Lola Martin, green crepe de chine and tulle; Miss 0. Curson, floral lame; Miss Little, royal blue and gold crepe satin; Miss N. Batey, powder blue taffeta, embossed in silver and pink; Miss Joan Stirling, apple green and , white taffeta, with uneven hem; Miss Mary Walsh, leaf green chiffon velvet with appliqued flowers; Miss D. Williams, black taffeta; Miss M. Johnson, black •taffeta bordered in cerise; Miss Alison Laery, silver and blue tissue with black georgette; Miss B. Lewis, black, fcequinned frock; Miss M, Collins, beige lace and taffeta, with jade green shoulder posy; Miss Crosbie, ciel blue taffeta; Miss Molly Bailey, coral pink georgette beaded in gold; Miss Dorothy Fenton, ivory taffeta and pale pink trimming; Miss B. Molloy, pink georgetto; Miss E. Gore, palest green taffeta and silver lace; Miss Edna Jenkins, delphinium blue taffeta; Miss D Mairs, blush pink georgette and diamante trimming; Miss E. A. Ember, flamo satin and tulle; Miss Utting, turquoise blue georgette; Miss Joan Hastings, almond green georgette; Miss E. Hopwood, fuchsia pink flounced taffeta.
