AUSTRALIAN BOWLERS.

VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND.

REPORT BEFORE COUNCIL.

[by telegraph.— press association.] WELLINGTON, \Yednesday.

Mr.-J. C. Redmond, of the Wellington Bowling Club, who has returned from Australia, presented a report at a meeting of the Dominion Council concerning the Australian bowlers who are expected to come to New Zealand to take part m the Australia v. New Zealand test games and Dominion tourney in January. So far 64 players, with 25 accompanying ladies, have signified their intention of siaking the trip, with probably more to come, said the. report. The great majority are from Sydney and Melbourne. Adelaide has only one representative. Western Australia, however, has 10. As regards Tasmania, so far very few Launceston players are likely to come. This is to be regretted, as New Zealanders are expected to take part in the Australian Bowling Council's carnival to be held there in 1930. No Hobart entries have yet been received. The New Zealand tourney has been well advertised in Australia.
