INDIAN WIFE'S JEALOUSY
BURNS HERSELF TO DEATH
[l-HO.U Ot.ll OWN COHHESI'ONDK.VT.] SUVA. Nov. 9. An Indian woman mot her death in a dreadful manner lliis week. It is alleged that her husband had hcen friendly with another woman and his wifo violently objected to this. Ho jealous was she, the story in the. Indian community goes, that sho decided to have u dreadful revenge on her husband.
Shortly before tho husband was expected homo tho woman, saturated her clothes and covered herself with kerosene. As he appeared near tho house she struck a match and set fire to her clothes. She became a living funeral pyro and before tho thunes could bo extinguished every portion of her clothes had been burned off, not a particlo of skin was left on her and sho was unconscious.
Tho ambulance was summoned and tho woman was taken to tho hospital whoro she was admitted in an unconscious condition. Sho died about four hours after setting firo to herself.
