WAIKATO ASSOCIATION.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
[HV TEI.EGK.U'H. —OWN COKHESFONDENI'.] HAMILTON, Wednesday. The annua! meeting of the Waikalo Tennis Association was held last evening. Tho president. Mr. E. A. Cox, reported that there hnd been a considerable increase in the membership during the year, the total now being 2889 players. There wore six subassociations and 71 clubs affiliated with the parent body. Satisfactory entries had been received for tho banner competition, Tho accounts showed a credit balance of A'l. Tho following officers were elected:—Patron, Hon. J. A. Young; president. Mr. A. E. McCracken; vice-presidents. Messrs. W. CI. Fabling and A. C. Thompson: treasurer. Mr. JI. Blackwood: secretary, Mr. E. J. McLachlan; hon. auditor. Mr. Champion; management committee. Messrs. D. Seymour, S. B. Sims E. A. Cox. J.. F. McCullough. F. En t wis tie. J. C. Christie. 11. D. Cobb: delegates to New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association. Messrs, S. Eichclbaum. L. C. Hernery, E. McCarrol and Professor P. P. Wilson. Mr. McCrnckcu reported that the Maori Association had applied for permission to hold its tournament at Hamilton in March.
