Smokeless fuel, produced by the low temperature carbonisation process, will shortly be available in London, as the result of an agreement between tho South Metropolitan Gas Company and Low Temperature Carbonisation. Limited. This is the first gas company iu Britain to commercialise the new tieatinont of coal, which it is believed will resuscitate tho coalfields.
