KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.

TWO PERSONS INJURED. MOTORIST FAILS TO STOP. ONE VICTIM IN HOSPITAL. Two people, a man and a girl, were injured by a motorist in Massey Road, Mangere Crossing, at about half-past four yesterday afternoon. 'J he car came along Massey Road and first struck the man, Mr. R. K. Moselen, rendering him unconscious. It then went a few yards and struck a gnl, Miss Jean Bridges, who sustained a sprained ankle and body bruises. The car went a little further, stopped for a moment and then set off again. It is believed that the number of tho car was taken by a girl who noticed the accident.

Both the injured were attended by Dr. Currie, of Otahuhu. Miss Bridges, who lives at Robertson lioad, Mangere, was sent home, and Mr. Moselen, who is a single man, aged 38, residing at 60, Seaview Road, Remuera, was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance suffering from concussion. He was reported last evening to be in a fairly serious condition. The accident" occurred at a point nearly a-quarter of a mile from Mangere Crossing to the west of tho station.
