RETURN TO CITY COUNCIL.

MR. BLOODWORTH WELCOMED.

Mr. T. Bloodworth, who was elected on Wednesday to fill the vacancy on tho Auckland City Council caused by tho death of Mr. F. W. 11. Brinsden, took his seat at the council table last evening. The Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, in welcoming Mr, Bloodworth, said the council would benefit by his return to a place in its activities. Mr. Blood worth acknowledged the welcome, expressing regret at tho circumstances occasioning his early return to municipal service.
