EJECTION OF A WOMAN.
CHAMPIONED BY UNEMPLOYED FURNITURE SENT TO AUCTION. Allegations were mado at a meeting of unemployed at Broken Hill lately that owing to non-payment of rent, her furniture had forcibly been taken from a woman in a destitute condition, whose baby had died recently, and whose husband was going to a mental hospital. A party of unemployed, swelling into a large crowd, visited tlio liouso to interview the landlady. The landlady was out, and while waitHip for her, the leader of the unemployed delivered a 'speech advocating direct action to take back tho furniture. Tho unemployed later returned to the Trades Hall. Tho landlady arrived, and stated 'V >r case. As a result of the deliberations, she agreed to return (lie furniture. A new difficulty has arisen, as the furniture, which was sent to an auction mart, had been sold that morning. Further action wns priding on tho result of a conferenco between the parties. Tho tenant, was receiving assistance from the unemployed committee.
