ALLEGATION OF MURDER.

SYDNEY WOMAN'S DEATH. HUSBAND UNDER ARREST. SEQUEL TO* EXHUMATION. (Received October 21, 7.15 p.m.) SYDNEY. Oct. 21. 'A sensation has been caused by the arrest of a successful Sydney business man, Alister .Tenner Chirk, aged 24, on a ' charge of murdering his wife, Ella J lay Clark. Detectives had been investigating tho circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs. Clark, which occurred on October 12. Her body was exhumed at the weekend and an autopsy is said to have revealed unmistakable traces of a deadly poison. The husband married again nine days after Mrs. Clark's death. She had previously been in hospital for three months, a fact which was not reported. The end came suddenly. Accused was brought before a magistrate to-day and remanded.
