CLAIMANTS TO FORTUNE.
LITIGATION IN AMERICA. EX-NEW ZEALANDER'S WILL. BEQUEST TO AUCKLANDER. Australian Press Association—United Service (Received October 21. 6.15 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO. Oct. 23. Fifteen persons who claim to be the heirs at law of the late Mr. George H. Engels, a New Zealand sheepfarmer who died here in May, have filed a petition to revoke probate of his will. Under the terms of the will Mr. Engels left an estate valued at a million dollars in New Zealand to Mr. Andrew Gray, of Auckland. The late Mr. Engels was formerly resident in the Palmerston North district and retired to San Francisco, where ho died last May at the age of 87 years. Mr. Andrew Gray, of Grand View Road, Remuera, who is the beneficiary named in his will, is an old friend of Mr. Engels. Ho has already visited San Francisco as executor of the will and stated last evening that the estimate of a million dollars which was augmented by one of the San Francisco papers is an example of American exuberance, as the valuo of the estate is not one-fifth of that amount.
