ZEPPELIN'S FLIGHT.
REPETITION OF COMPLAINT. AMERICAN PASSENGER. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. LONDON. Oct. 2:). Mr. Frederick OiJfillan, a wealthy American, who was a passenger by tlie Zeppelin LZI27 on its recent flight, across the Atlantic, arrived in England by the Mauretania to-day. He denounced the flight, as a scandal. Fifty times or more, he said, the Zeppelin made a sudden plunge down toward the sea, after which it would painfully climb to a safe height. The passengers thought they would never reach their destination. Tlio administration on board the airship was shocking. There was insufficient food and wine. Tlio passengers suffered the greatest discomforts, and were flung about the ship like ninepins. Tliero was only one parachute, and no other safety appliance. Mr. Gilfillan expressed the opinion that tlio airship would have been without passengers altogether had anyone realised the grave danger. Me said lie was not allowed to use his camera, and had to sign an agreement to say nothing about the flight until a considerable time had elapsed. Ho described Lady Drummond Hay, the journalist on board, as & "brave little sport."
