RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE AKARANA CLUB.
Members of tho Akarnna Rifle Club fired their second series on Saturday over ranges of 800 yds and 900 yds. a v Penrose Rifle Ranee for trophies presented by Messrs. Coombes, Rcston and Draffin. Conditions were ideal for shooting and some good scores wero registered. The top three men in each Bection take 3. 2 and 1 points respectively. Silver spoons wero won by Riflemen £). Elliott, A. 13. CITY AND SUBURBS Cr-ÜB. The first shoot of iho season wns fired by members of the City and Suburbs Rifle Club at 800 yds. and 900 yds. on Saturday. Aided by splendid shooting conditions tho marksmen made some fine scores, tho most outstanding performance being that of H. J, Vorrall, who dropped only four points iii 20 shots.
