A transatlantic flight is to be undertaken by Captain Ronald Smith, who served in the British Air Force in the war, and is now employed as aviation instructor at Newcastle, Pennsylvania. He has accepted an offer to act as co-pilot on the ltellanca plane Roma, which is expected to start the flight within 10 days.
