BETTER TRAFFIC ROUTES.
WAITAKERE RIDING SCHEME. LOAN OF £20,000 PROPOSED. A general loan of £20,000 is proposed for tho Waitakere Riding of the Waitemata Couuty. Tlie scheme provides for £6600 for bridges and the balance for roads, with the exception of £ISOO for plant. It is proposed to allot £IO.OOO for reconstructing the highway from Henderson to Kunieii. A new bridge will be built at Brigham's Creek, and the hills on each side graded. If the loan is approved this, will be a great boon to motorists, as tho present road is difficult to negotiate. Improvements on the Hobsonville Wharf Road are being made. The road is being graded and widened and rolled. This road has been in a bad state and the approach to the aerodrome has been over a series of deop potholes.
