LABOUR AND THE SOVIET.
Sir,--Some few months back it- was reported in your columns that llio Now Zealand Labour Party Conference had rejected, by an overwhelming majority, a proposal to admit tho Communists to membership. Similarly, quite recently, you published a cablegram, to (he effect that the British Labour Party had done likewise. On Wednesday morning you published a letter ovei the nom-de-plutne of "Safety First," who asserts that "the fact that members of the Labour Party do not repudiate any connection with Bolsheviks ana Communists is ominous." Now, which is departing from the truth —the gentleman who reported that Labour Conference and the author of that cablegram, 01 "Safety First" ? Truth First and Last.
