FINE OF £2O IMPOSED.
SUSPENSION OF LICENCE.

A. fine of £2O and costs was to-day imposed on Frederick Roberts, of Gisborne, a bus driver, and his driving licence was suspended for two months, for being drunk in charge of a: motor-car. The vehicle apparently belonged to a friend, and accused said he was not accustomed to it. He admitted, however, that he had had some drinks. The evidence showed that he ran into another car while he was driving at a speed of 40 miles an hour in Adelaide Road.
