WEDDINGS.

The marriage was celebrated last evening in St. Matthew's Church, of Miss Olive Eileen Myrtle Marshall, of Ponsonby, late of Gisborne, to Mr. William Francis Mathieson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathieson, of Morrinsvillo. The Rev. Carew Thomas conducted the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. Leo Marshall, wore a frock of white souple satin with side panels of silk net embroidered in silver. Her Brussels lace veil was caught to the head with a wreath, of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. There were three bridesmaids ■in attendance. The first, Miss Grace Swift, wore a frock of pompadour pink crepe do chine, Miss Alma Marshall wore orchid mauve crepe de chine and Miss Valma Hodgkins wore peach-shaded crepe de chine. Their headdresses were of tulle to tone with their frocks and they carried bouquets of spring 1 lowers. Master Clifford Faulkner was page boy and wore a suit of black velvet with white collar and cuffs. Sir. Kenneth Mathieson was best man.

St. Patrick's Church was the scene of the wedding yesterday afternoon of Miss Eileen Ryan, "second daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. Ryan, of Auckland, to Mr. Bernard du Fresno, of Cambridge. Father O'Carol, of Cambridge, performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given awav by her father, wore a frock of ivory embossed chenille georgette with a pearl girdle from which fell narrow white satin ribbons finished at the end with white silk tassels. Her veil of Honiton lace formed a train and was arranged on the head with a wreath of orange blossom. She. carried a shower bouquet of _ pale pink and white flowers. Miss Nancy Bow and Miss Hester Bow were bridesmaids and wore frocks of apricot and leaf green crepe do chine respectively, with tiered skirts slightly draped at one side. Their head-dresses were of latticed satin ribbon with wide tulle brims trimmed underneath with a cluster of flowers. They carried bouquets of stocks, poppies and sweet peas. Mr. J. King attended the bridegroom as best man and Mr. J. Garnson was groomsman.

Chapman, of Green Lane, to Mr. Arthur George Hill, elder son of Mrs. Lawson, of Pompallier Terrace, Ponsonbv, The Rev. W. E. Gillam officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white embossed chenille georgette, simply made, with a pouched waist and short puffed sleeves. Her ve : ,l of embroidered tulle was held in place with a high coronet and bands of silver ribbon, and she carried a shower bouquet of white sweet peas and pale mauve stock. Miss Alma Bowden was bridesmaid and wore a frock of almond green shot taffeta with a cream lace hem, and a fan-shaped headdress of green tulle. She carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas._ Miss Shirley Simpson was flower girl and was dressed in a flame taffeta frock with a niched scalloped hem. She wore a tulle head-dress to tone and carried a small bouquet of violets. The bride s train was carried by two children, little Marjorie Boyd, who wore a frock of apricot taffeta, and Master Eric Riddler, who wore a white satin suit. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Robert Hill as best man.

The marriage of Miss Irene Margaiet Miller, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller, of " Craigmore. Argvle Street, Heme Bay, to Mr. Kenneth Baxter eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J., W. Baxter, of Allenby Bond, Devonport, was celebrated in Si. Stephen s ( hurch, last evening. The Bev. Fra/er Barton performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore .1 frock of ivory fnftoto. with fl light-fit-tine liodice, and a yoke of silk net embroidered with silver braid and peails The bouffant skirt had a scalloped hem. while two embroidered panels of taffeta and silk net fell from the waist to the ankles. Her veil of Brussels laee formed a long train and was caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white (lowers. The bride's sisters, Miss Kathleen and Miss Nancy Miller, were bridesmaids and wore frocks of shell pink and can de nil taffeta and tulle respectively. The frocks were made with tight-fitting bodices of taffeta, and bouffant skirts of frilled tulle finished at the si do with a large tulle bow. Both bridesmaids wore bandeaux of silver leaves and carried shower bouquets of pink flowers. Little Dawn Miller was flower girl, and wore a frock of powder bluo taffeta with a frilled tulle skirt, and a, bandeau of silver leaves. Sho carried a small posy_ of flowers. As page boy, Master Boss Taylor wore a suit of Mack velvet with white ruffles. Mr. Jack Baxter, the bridegroom's brother, was best- man, and Mr. Hilton Jackson was groomsman.
