The gain for tho spring races proved very successful on Saturday night at tho Click Clack Cabaret when a large gathering of dancers made the most of (lie festivity provided for them. Somo very effective lighting in blue, red and green added to the picturesque background of the hall, and Mr. Clyde Howlcy's exhibition bf the "black-bottom," and Mr. Alan Brown's solo on the merimba both proved very popular. Mrs. C. Cornwell wore black georgette trimmed with fuchsia satin; Mrs. M. Newman, turquoise georgette and bandeau in • diamente; Mrs. Hudson, cerise ring velvet; Mrs. Meyrick (Sydney), black georgette and gold lace; Mrs. Cowling, geranium georgette with a black embroidered mandarin coat; Mrs. Glaxton, beaded frock, in pastel pink georgette; Miss Brcnda Long, ivory georgette frock with pink and white shoulder posy; Miss C. Harwood*, black net frock appliqued with pink roses; Miss Bennett, deep blue satin with pink shoulder flower; -Miss C. Miller, sequinned frock of moonlight jolue; Miss Nancye Cooke, green georgette embossed with white chenille; Miss N. Fairburn, deep rose taffeta and shoulder posv to tone.
