RIFLE SHOOTING.
THE AKARANA CLUB. The Akaraua Rifle Club opened its championship shoot at Penrose* Rifle Range on Saturday by competing for trophies presented by Messrs. F. H. Coombes. E. J. C. Reston and J. R. Draffin. There was a, large attendance of members and conditions were ideal for good shooting. Trophy points were won by the following:—T. Elliott. J. R. Draffin. "W. Powell. A. M. Richardson. D. Ashley. I. Hammond. A. G. Smith. T. Sauverin. The top men iu each section take silver spoons. Details bf the shooting are as follows: A Section (Mr. P. R. Coombes' trophy).— T. E.
