DENIAL OF DISSENSIONS. STATEMENT BY NIC.HOLLS. SYDNEY. Oct. 5. Speaking at the welcome to the Now South Wales Rugby team, which has justreturned from New Zealand, Mark Nicholls, tlio only All Black present, took the opportunity to deny reports of dissensions among members of tho team during the South African tour. He particularly refuted tho suggestion that the captain and himself had been at loggorheads. , • ........ • " Brownlie and I are great friends," he said. VWo differed in opinions regarding football matters at times, but those wore brushed aside on tho field, where tho team always played in a wholehearted desire to further tho fame of New Zealand." Nicholls gave it as liis opinion that as a result of the tour New Zealand football authorities would bo convinced that the day of tho wing-forward was over.
