Home-made soap is an economy. Try this excellent recipe. 31 b. of lime, 61b. of washing soda, lib. of resin, 71b. fat, 3 ..tablespoorifuls of borax, 12 quarts of water. Boil the water, lime and soda for one hour. Let tho mixture, stand all night. iSlrjjin off in the morning. Add tho other ingredients and boil for three hour*. stir constantly. l'our into a mould and, when cold, cut into bars, and store. ' ' ■
