POINT CHEVALIER BATHS.
POWERS OF DIXIELAND, LTD. NEW PERMIT NECESSARY. [by TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL REPORTER] WELLINGTON. Friday. Although the Marine Department is not prepared at the moment to make any pronouncement concerning the Point Chevalier baths proposal, it was teamed to-day that the department has not yet had official notice o'i the rejection of the baths loan by the Auckland City ratepayers. The department recently issued a permit to Dixieland, Ltd., to erect the baths, but (his was ruled out by an injunction given by the Supreme Court. If Dixieland, Ltd., desires to* proceed with its scheme a new application for a permit will have to be submitted. Until this is done the department is not prepared to say what will be its decision.
