FUNERAL CAUSES MISHAP.
DRIVER RAISES HIS HAT. Athol Campbell, a former councillor and an associated accountant at Gateshead, England, was summoned a tew weeks ago for driving a motor-car wluco had not two efficient brakes, and tor failins; to give warning of his approach. It was stated that Mr. Campbell raised his hat while passing a funeral procession, with the consequence that _h® knocked a woman down. An inetficien brake prevented him from pulling up in time. He was fined 10s on the second rhnrgo and ordered to pay tils costs in both.
