BEES HOLD UP FUNERAL.
CROWD'S WILD FLIGHT. A swarm of bees created an extraordinary scene, a few weeks ago when a large crowd assembled for a funeral in Baliynaseeagh graveyard, just outside Watcrford. The people had gathered round the grave, when suddenly they were attacked by the bees, and indescribable confusion followed. The cries of women and children mingled with the shouts of men as they fell over one another in their efforts to escapo. Several people were badly stung about the eyes, and wometis arms and backs suffered severely. " There seemed to bo millions of bees," said one of the victims, " and they simply drovo tho people mad. Wo had to dash away as fast as wo could and tho coffin remained only half buried." Tho grave-diggers promised to return the following morning to complete the burial. Members of tho British Legion Club in Watcrford, were unable to enter tho club all day because a swarm of bees had settled on the doors.
