SHORTENING A ROUTE.

HAMILTON TO MORRINSVILLE ' [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN- CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, E riday. Steps are being taken by the Waikato County Council to shorten the HamiltonMorrinsville Road by cutting off a mile of the route between Eureka and Moturoaoho. There is an old surveyed road along the proposed new route, which takes a north-easterly course from the Eureka Hall corner, but for many years the road has been regarded as private property. It is proposed to fence off the road and form it so as to make it available for traffic.
