Playboy won by a neck, length and a-half second and third. TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUB. NOMINATION OF OFFICERS. Nominations closed on Saturday for three members of committee of the Takapuna Jockey Club. Dr. A. J. Friedlander and Messrs. R. I'. Michaels and L. Alderton, the retiring members, were the only candidates and they will be declared elected at the annual meeting, which will be held on Monday, August 20. JOCKEYS' PREMIERSHIP. T. GREEN WINS. The 1927-28 racing season closed with the siolding of tho second day of the Gisborne Winter Meeting on Saturday, and for the recond season in succession T. Green has succeeded in heading tho list of winning jockeys. During the past couple of months Green ha.s been having a keen tussle with .R. Reed for tho jockeys' premiership, and f-hen the final day of tho season arrived there was only one point between them. However, Green was successful on Abiaogne, find he finished up with a tally of 75 wins and a lead of two over Rsed. who had 73 •wins. WELLINGTON G OSS IP. CANDIDATES FOR SYDNEY. [B"?
