The council of the New Zealand Rugby Leaguo met last evening. Mr. C. A. Sneddon presiding.
Tho managers of the English League tenm advised that the itinerary of tho tour through tho Dominion would be left to tho New Zealand Council to arrange J.ho following programme was approved July 30. arrive at Auckland by ino Ao-angi; August 1, England v. South Auckland, at Taupiri: August 4, England v Now Zealand, at Auckland; August tt, England v. Auckland, at Auckland; August 11. England v. Auckland Province, at Auckland; August 11. England v. Bullor. at Westport; August 15. England v. West Coast, at Groymouth; August 18, England v. Now Zealand, at Dunedin; August 2-. exhibition gamo at Invercargill. Tho Otago League advised that its representative t-oam would leave Dunedin on August 20. and tho following matcnea wero to be played:—September 1, Buller, at Westport; September 5, West Coast, at Greymouth; September 8, Canterbury, at ChriHtchurch; September 12, bouth Auckland (location to bo decided); September 16, Auckland, at Auckland: September 11), \V cllington. , „ It was decided to arrange tho challenge! matches for tho Northern Union Cup as follows;— Canterbury, July 21: Otago, September 15. Tho challenges of Wellington aiyi South Auckland wero forwarded to the Auckland League to arrange dates. Tho appointment of referees to control the tost matches betweon England and New Zealand was discussed at Bome length, and it was decided to ask tho loagues concerned to submit tho names of three referees to tho council for approval. These iiames will bo submitted to the English team.
