Mr. J. A. Howard, formerly of lha Royal Air Force, arrived from England by the Arawa yesterday. Accompanied by his wife and son, he intends to' settle in the Dominion.

The Rev. .J. Lamb Harvey, who has had charge of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church for the past seven years, will leave by the Maheno to-day for Sydney, en route to England.

Captain, L. G. Goss. staff; officer in charge of No. 2 Regimental District, with headquarters at Paeroa, has advised of his success in an examination for entrance to a military staff collsge at Camberley, and will leave for England early in October.
