GRAMMAR OLD BOYS.

A SUCCESSFUL REUNION. SCHOOL'S HIGH TRADITIONS. The annual reunion of tho Auckland Grammar School Old Boys' Association, held at the luasonic Hall, Princes Street, on Saturday evening, was one of the most successful gatherings held by the association for many years. There was an attendance of about 200 old boys and guests, tho president, Mr. A. St. Clair Brown, occupying the chair. In proposing the toast of tho school nnd its staff, the chairman referred to tho high place occupied by tho school in tho good opinion of the community, its scholastic achievements and athletic prowess. lie mentioned many leading citizens and old boys overseas who had passed through the school and honoured themselves and their Alma Mater in the world of commerce, art and literature. The toast was responded to by Mr. H. J. D. Mahon, headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School, who was warmly applauded. Mr. J. Stanton, who proposed the health of the guests and kindred associations, congratulated Grammar's old rival, King's College, on its victory on the football field that afternoon. Responding to th* toast was Mr. J. A. B. Hellaby, on behalf of King's College old boys, and M p.ssrs. D. May and V. R. Meredith. A musical programme was presented hv an orchestra and by Professor Mavwoli Walker and Messrs. S. Pritchard and W. Fanshaw.
