SIR GEORGE FOWLDS.

WORK FOR EDUCATION. Appreciation of the services of Sir George Fowlds in the cause of education was expressed at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board yesterday. The chairman, Mr. A. Burns, said Sir George had been very interested in educational matters; in fact, he knew of no man who had worked harder for education. It was decided to forward congratulations to Sir George in connection with the recent honour conferred upon him.
