UNDEFENDED DIVORCE.
TWO DECREES GRANTED. Before Mr. Justice Blair, in the Supreme Court yesterday, Maurice Webster Briggs (Mr. Schramm) sought dissolution of his marriage with Annie Briggs (Mr. Dickson) on the ground of separation by mutual consent since May, 1924. They were married in January, 1919, and there are four children of the marriage. The petitioner asked for the custody of two of the children. A decree nisi, to be moved absolute after three months, was granted, with interim custody of the children as desired. Adultery was the ground of the petition of Selena Ann Clara Taylor (Mr. Coates) for dissolution of her marriage with Henry Siddal Taylor. Ivy May Ward, widow, was named as the co-respondent. The parties had been married in March, 1909, and had had three children, two of whom are now living. After petitioner and a neighbour of the co-respondent had given evidence, stating that respondent and corespondent were now living together, His Honor granted a decree nisi, to be moved absolute after three months.
