MANUREWA INTERESTS.
CONTRIBUTION TO MUSEUM. The duty of local bodies toward the financial support of the War Memorial Museum was discussed at the meeting of the Manurewa Town Board on Tuesday evening. The chairman, Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, presided, while the curator of the museum, Mr. Gilbert Archey, and Mr. y a ile were present. It was decided to support legislation providing for levied contributions from local bodies up to a total of £.6000 a year. t Satisfactory reports on the teste of ■water from tha board's bor6 were received from the engineer, who was instructed to increase the width of the bore to 6in. Plans for concreting the approaches to the railway bridge on the Great South Hoad have been approved by the Main Highways Board, and the Town Board will now make arrangements to have the contract put in hand. The sum of £2O was voted for the frarchase of new books for the public ibrary.
