THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, wili attend the annual meeting of the St. John Ambulance Association this evening. ■ His Excellency will invest Mr. C. J. Tunks with the insignia of an officer of the Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem, and Dr. P. Moir with the insignia of an honorary Serving Brother of the order. He will also present certificates and medallions won during the year and long-service medals. On Monday afternoon Lady Alice Fergusson paid an unofficial visit to the Mount Eden prison.
