ENTERTAINING SAILORS.
The Dcvonport sub-branch of the Navy League entertained the companies of the ships at Calliope dock in tho Harbour Board shed, last evening.
Tho hall was prettily decorated with flags strung across the walls, bright flowers and native foliage. Excellent music was supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra and with tho uniforms and bright frocks worn, a gay scene presented itself. Tho lanics of tho committee were as follows:—Mrs. R. L. Cleland, Mrs. H. Melvin, Mrs. Cleal, Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. V. Wrigley, Miss Bulimore, Miss J. Munn, Miss Wrigley, Miss Spraggon, Miss Tatton, Miss P. Redmond, Miss Melville, Miss Johnston, Miss Casbolt, Miss Wyatt, Miss Rogerson and Miss Purser.
