CLOSED SHOPS ON SUNDAYS. OPERATION IN WELLINGTON.. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WELLINGTON. Sunday. A notice appearing in the Gazette gives effect to the requisition for the closing of chemists' shops all day on Sunday within the combined district of Wellington. The change in the system is to operate on and after June 3. The " all night" dispensary in the centre of the city is exempted. A chemist in the combined district whose shop is more than two miles and a-half from the exempted shop may supply on Sundays medicines and surgical appliances that are urgently required, provided that the shop is opened for such purposes only, and is closed immediately the sale is effected, and that the door of the shop is kept locked, except for the admission and exit of the customer.
