THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson, who have been on a fishing holiday in the Taupo district, returned to Auckland yesterday morning. It is understood Their Excellencies will remain in Auckland for several weeks before returning to Wellington, and they have many engagements to fulfil. Their Excellencies will give a ball at Government House this evening.
