MOTOR-CYCLISTS HURT.

SEQUELS JO COLLISIONS. YOUNG MAN BADLY INJURED. POINT CHEVALIER ACCIDENT. As the result of a collision between the motor-cycle he was riding and a motor-van near the Point. Chevalier Hall, at 6.30 last evening, Mr. Herbert Rose, aged 21, of 140, Great North Road, Avondale, sustained a fracture of the wrist aud injuries to the head. He was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and at a late'hour his condition was reported to be serious. The motor-van was crossing the road from the shop of the owner, Mr. Shearer, to a garage on the opposite side, when the accident occurred. The motor-cycle was badly damaged, and one of the back wheels cf the van was smashed by the impact.

An injury to the right foot was sustained by a well-known amateur athlete, Mr. D. H. Grant, when his motor-cycle came into collision with a car as he was travelling through Mangere from Otahuhu on Sunday afternoon, the injured man was taken to the Aotea Private Hospital at Otahuhu. H<s condition is satisfactory. The motor-car, which was coming from the opposite direction, turned to the right, and Mr. Grant, unable to pull up in Time, struck it broadside on. He fell between the wheels, one of which passed over his foot. The son of Mr. H. B. Grant, of Papatoetoe, Mr. Grant is the Auckland provincial amateur shot-putting champion. GIRL STRUCK BY CAR. ADMISSION TO HOSPITAL. Suffering from cuts and abrasions sustained when she was knocked down by a motor-car in Great South Road at Otahuhu, Doreen Thelma Kent-Johnston, aged six vears, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital yesterday. Her condition is not serious. MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED. BODY FOUND ON ROAD. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HAWERA, Monday. With his skull fractured Albert Francis Plumtree, aged 25, a dairy factory employee, was found dead on the Palmer Road, near Kaponga, about six o'clock on Saturday evening. Deceased had been riding a motor-cycle which was found in a damaged condition about 13yds, from the body. Hair adhering to the front of the machine indicated that a collision with a horse or a bullock had occurred.
