FILMS IN AUSTRALIA.
VULGARITY IN PICTURES, CENSOR'S ANNUAL REPORT. SYDNEY, April 27. The Commonwealth film censor's annual report comments trenchantly on the vulgarity of some of the imported films. It says there seem to be no generally effective attempts to introduce rnoro refinement, or to raise the literary or moral standards of the films. In the past year 1681 films were imported into Australia from the United States, 271 from Britain and 199 from other countries.
