FRENCH FOREIGN MINISTER CONDITION WEAKENING, COMPLICATION OF DISEASE. ' r V (Received April 27, 11.25 p.m.) United Service. PARIS, April 27. The Foreign Minister, M. Briand, is weakening. He is suffering from pneumonia after an attack of influenza, with a complicated form of blood poisoning. RUMOUR OF DEATH. EXCITEMENT IN PARIS. INFLUENCE OF POLITICS. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. (Received April 27, 10.55 p.m.) PARIS, April 27. There was great excitement at a report that the Foreign Minister, M. Briand, was dead, and that the fact was being kept secret in order not to jeopardise the chances of the National Union's success at the elections. Needless to say the report was untrue.
