AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANCE. —— THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS, Average business was done on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. There was again general inquiry for Government securities, but the only sale was in Inscribed Stocks, 1932, per cent., which were done at £9B 15s, a drop of 5s on the price given nearly a week ago. In banks Australasian fractions changed hands at 9s 3d, compared with 9s earlier in the week. Commercials of Australia again had sale at the current price of 28s 6d. New Zealands recorded a slight advance from the recently-current price of 60s to sell at 60s 2d and 60s 3d at the late call. The D pref., 20s paid issue, sold at 26s 9d. In insurance South British were again done at 58s 9d. In gas there were late inquiries for Aucklands at 22s 3d, holders 22s bd The contributing issue changed nands at 16s 3d, an advance of one penny on the recent market price, In timber Kauris were done at 21s 6d, the. first sale since the peak price of 23s was obtained at the end of March. Following is a summary of transactions since Friday of last week. In the second column is given the return, based on the last dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In the case of Government and other redeemable securities, the return includes redemption. The first column gives the figure at which the latest salo was made during the week: —
